It was a day of inspiration and innovation as our founder Pearse Flynn presented at the EBAN Annual Congress.
Pearse, who is also the founder of our sister companies Green Rebel and ActionZero, took to the stage at Cork’s Páirc Uí Chaoimh – the perfect setting for one of the world’s biggest youth investment and entrepreneurship networking events.
Pearse, a well-recognised angel investor, gave a presentation entitled “Ireland’s Energy Ambition is ‘the Grand Slam or the Wooden Spoon’” where he addressed Ireland’s economic opportunity to become a leading player in the renewable energy sector.
Throughout his presentation Pearse advocated for a complete reimagination of the energy system.
He called on the audience to strive for a brighter future, stating: “we need system change not just climate change, let’s give the people what they need, not sell them what we want”.
This pursuit of creating a more sustainable and equal world led Pearse to establish EIH2, Irelands first green hydrogen company with the mission of reaching net zero emissions by 2050 in line with Ireland’s Climate Action Plan.
